Snapping Loop Brackets to Transients
I’m a huge fan of Snap to Transients. It would be great to have while I’m adjusting the loop brackets it snaps to transients to have a more accurate start and end loop.
Fewer but bigger piano keys
I find the new piano keys too small. They are shorter and the white keys are narrower. I can set the range, but the on-screen keyboard doesn't resize accordingly, so with fewer keys, each key becomes larger. This adjustment would be especially helpful when I use the app solely with the mouse, which is usually the case. When there are fewer keys, I just randomize more often.
Keyboard modifier in super mode
In normal mode, holding shift when adjusting a parameter changes it for all samples. Could we have the same(/inverse) when in super mode, to adjust individual sample parameters on the fly without switching modes?
RX2 file format?
I dont know if this is possible, but I would love it if Rando could read RX2 files, as I have 100,000s of them in my library. These are of course sliced audio files which are read natively by a few DAWs and plugins, but many do not. Is this a “pie in the sky” hope, or maybe possible? Thank you again for the fantastic 2.5 update to Rando!!!!
Sample Layering in Chromatic Mode
It would be great to add a layering feature to Chromatic mode, allowing multiple samples to play simultaneously. This would significantly expand sound design possibilities 🙂
Relocate missing sample libraries
I just renamed some of my sample folders, and Rando doesn’t recognize them anymore. It would be nice if we could just choose the new location for renamed/moved folders, instead of having to remove them and re-import. Especially with the new advanced scanning, which seems to take some time to redo.
16 Levels Velocity
In the bottom section where theres chromatic mode/ Slice mode/Normal mode/ I would love to see a velocity mode. Similar to like having an MPC where you could have 16 levels of velocity for a selected sound. That would be cool to have.
Midi output for lighting up active notes on controllers
For midi controllers that can also receive midi input to light up (launchpad, midifighter, etc) When utilizing the latch function for loops, it would be very useful to always be able to see directly on the controller which are active. If this were implemented, it could also utilize the colors from the sound types set in the new keyboard edit mode. Maybe could even have that color set to a dimmer brightness when not active and full brightness when triggered.
Allow to play the samples (in all modes) like in Arcade
In Arcade you can apply effects to the samples with the black keys on the fly. Makes it really dynamic and much more like an instrument. Have you considered also offering that?
SHIFT + CMD to Set only Locked Samples to Different Loop Mode.
You have an option to hold SHIFT when selecting loop playback mode so that it applies globally to all samples on the keyboard. It could be useful to have an additional option to use SHIFT + CMD to apply mode to ONLY Locked Samples. Or also SHIFT+OPT+CMD to apply only to Unlocked Samples.
Midi Channels and CC Values for every function, to enable mapping to a controller or sequencer
I love this sampler—-but you know what would make it SUPER AWESEOME?—making every function from pitch bend to FX parameters all be MIDI mappable with their own CC Value and Channels. I was looking for a chart of CC values to map with my sequencer (hardware) and could not find any in the manual, so I assume this has not yet been implemented.
Move Locked Left/Center/Right
Would be nice to have the option to move locked samples to left/center/right. The far left is not accessible to my keyboard. Anyways, placing them where you want would be a functional upgrade, probably not difficult for you to execute since you already can do a left align of all samples on the keyboard.
„move locked to left“ clear concept
Hi, I am not sure whether this is feature request or just not enough understanding the concept of “move locked to the left” command. My way of using rando is: a/ i randomize samples i find what i like, i lock it, move it to the left, I record something b/ then i randomize again find other useful samples, locked them, move them to the left and here lies the problem, the order of samples changes, randomly is ordering them in some way. For my use case it would be more usefull to pile those “newly locked and moved to the left samples” next to those already sitting in the lef part of my keyboard. Now it is making chaos in what i recorded before… Is it intended behaviour or am I missing something?
output routing lock
Hi, would be really usefull to lock output settings of a specific keyboard. Now, whenever I want to randomize samples, rando simply erases my output settings and set them to default. It is time consuming drag…
Instead of only favoriting a sample let us create playlist/groups of samples and presets
I tend to use playlists a lot when using arturia for example, their browser is a bit similar to rando but I am really mising the ability to create playlists of samples and presets. I hope that is implementable.
seeing the waveform of the sample that is played on the keyboard
I would like to see a small preview of the sample I play on the keyboard while I'm in the search window. The current preview window below the file browser is perfectly suitable for this.
