Rando2 always stops scanning at 70% completed

For the last 4 beta versions, including the latest (17), rando2 will not finish scanning my libraries. My first library (230,000) completes all scanning without trouble, but my second library (580,000) gets to around 150,000 remaining and just stops scanning.

Restarting the DAW and application just brings rando2 right back to the same point, and deleting + re-indexing takes 5+ hours and leads to the same problem. Should I delete and re-index again for beta 17? I did this on beta 16, 15, etc, but I dont have the 5+ hours right now.
